The amendment requested amends the commencement provision which relates to the adoption of certain vehicle emission standards.
Subparagraph 2(2)(b)(i) is amended to ensure the new Australian standard is aligned with the full Euro 2 emissions standards as specified in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Regulation 83 and subsequent amendments to it. [Amendment 1]
